Канада усилила санкции против России.

This information has been reported on the official website of the Prime Minister of Canada.

"During the summit, the Prime Minister announced new sanctions against 10 individuals and 21 legal entities, including paramilitary organizations and their leaders, to help counter Russia's use of third-party organizations and countries to advance its political and military objectives in Ukraine.

To date, Canada has imposed sanctions on over 3,000 individuals and entities involved in Russian aggression, and we remain committed to working with our partners to increase economic pressure on Russia," the statement said.

"Ukraine's fight for sovereignty is a fight for freedom and democracy worldwide. The important discussions we had today strengthened our collective resolve: as Alliance members, we will remain steadfast in our support for Ukraine.

Canada will stand by Ukraine until there is a just and lasting peace. Glory to Ukraine!" stated Trudeau.

It was noted that the sanctions target "9 leaders of post-Wagner paramilitary organizations, one member of the associated senior Russian military leadership, 9 paramilitary organizations operating in Ukraine and within the Kremlin's African network, as well as 12 related organizations responsible for resource extraction in this network."

18 world leaders (the heads of France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Canada, Poland, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Romania, and Ukraine, the Turkish Foreign Minister, the Presidents of the European Commission and the European Council, and the NATO Secretary General) gathered at Lancaster House in central London at the invitation of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to discuss a peace settlement plan for Ukraine.

Following the summit, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that Ukraine needs to be positioned as a power by providing it with defensive means that will turn it into a kind of "steel porcupine."

Previously, it was reported that Britain would allocate £1.6 billion to Ukraine for the purchase of air defense missiles. Britain also assured that it is prepared to send peacekeepers to Ukraine, providing it with "boots on the ground and planes in the air."
