Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov praised Trump, applauding the "common sense" of the U.S. president and the "vibrant, humane character" of MAGA policies. He also accused Europeans, who have rallied around Zelensky, of wanting to prolong the war in Ukraine.
Additionally, Peskov welcomed the U.S. decision to support a United Nations resolution that does not label Russia as the aggressor in the Ukraine war, calling this something that was previously "unimaginable."
