On January 23, the Antimonopoly Committee reported.
"The Public Joint Stock Company 'Ukrnafta' has been granted permission to acquire a stake in the charter capital of LLC 'Alliance Holding', which ensures more than 50 percent of the votes in the supreme governing body of the company," the statement reads.
"Ukrnafta" is purchasing a 51% stake in LLC "Alliance Holding."
The remaining 49% is owned by the state represented by the State Property Fund following a judicial seizure as part of sanctions against the Russian national Eduard Khudainatov.
LLC "Alliance Holding" operates 118 gas stations under the Shell brand in Ukraine.
After the deal is finalized, "Ukrnafta" will own more than 660 gas stations, thereby solidifying its status as the largest network in Ukraine.
