The European Union will provide Ukraine with €1.5 billion in monthly aid. This funding is part of budgetary assistance. This was announced at a press conference by the head of the EU, Kaja Kallas.
Following the meeting of EU foreign ministers, she noted that Europe must support Ukraine. In particular, by the end of winter, European countries will train 75,000 Ukrainian soldiers.
"This month, the European Union allocated €4.2 billion to support Ukraine's budget. Starting in January, we will provide €1.5 billion each month," Kallas added.
She specified that additional assistance is also necessary. Specifically, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha mentioned at the meeting of foreign ministers that Ukraine needs more ammunition, stronger air defense, and greater support for its defense industry.
