The European Union (EU) has allocated 150 million euros (156.29 million dollars) to Ukraine. A portion of these funds will be used to provide free meals in schools for children in grades 1-4. This was reported by the head of the Ukrainian government, Denys Shmyhal.
As Shmyhal explained, this is already the second tranche from the EU under the agreement for rapid recovery support, which includes a total of 300 million euros (312.58 million dollars).

In February of this year, the European Parliament approved the regulation of the Ukraine Facility program. According to this, the EU's support program for Ukraine, amounting to 50 billion euros, will be in effect from 2024 to 2027.
