The Ukrainian government has reduced the number of officials.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has made a decision to reduce the maximum number of employees in the territorial bodies of six central executive authorities. This is indicated by the government resolution dated January 17, 2025, No. 52.

Changes have been made to the resolution from April 5, 2014, No. 85, which defines the maximum number of employees.

In particular, the reduction will affect the following agencies:

• Ministry of Justice – by 20 employees (down to 13,252);
• State Statistics Service – by 20 employees (down to 3,939);
• Ukrtransbezpeka – by 20 employees (down to 7,385);
• State Geocadastre – by 10 employees (down to 4,046);
• State Labor Service – by 10 employees (down to 2,103);
• State Environmental Inspection – by 10 employees (down to 1,531).

At the same time, the number of employees in the central offices of the specified agencies remains unchanged.
