Suspension of U.S. military aid to Ukraine: what we know.

The order to halt funding affects the majority of military and security programs.
Приостановка военной помощи Украине от США: актуальная информация.

The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump has halted funding for foreign aid and grant programs. This likely includes military assistance to Ukraine.

This information was reported by the New York Times and the head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation, Andrey Kovalenko, on Telegram.

According to the New York Times, the order to suspend funding affects most military and security programs, particularly those related to Ukraine, Taiwan, and Jordan.

The majority of this aid is provided by the U.S. State Department. However, there are exceptions, including military assistance for Israel and Egypt, as well as emergency food aid.

Media outlets believe that this decision could cause long-term damage to U.S. strategic interests.

Andrey Kovalenko, the head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation, stated that U.S. military assistance to Ukraine has not been suspended.

"U.S. military aid to Ukraine continues under the military assistance packages that were previously approved. I will explain more later, but please don’t panic over sensational headlines and do not misinterpret," he wrote on Telegram.

Recall that on January 21, U.S. President Donald Trump announced a 90-day suspension of all foreign aid programs for a review of their alignment with his administration's foreign policy. According to the decree, the U.S. decided that further foreign aid should not be provided unless it aligns with the country's foreign policy.

On January 24, the U.S. State Department issued an order to cease all existing foreign aid and suspended the provision of new financial support.

It was later revealed that the Ukrainian branch of USAID also stopped implementing projects and funding. The UN Secretary-General urged the U.S. to resume support for critically important humanitarian programs. Meanwhile, Senator Marco Rubio has the authority to make exceptions under this initiative of the Trump administration.
