Government budget expenditures have reached three trillion hryvnias.

Nearly half of the government budget expenditures, amounting to 1.4 trillion UAH, is allocated to the military and defense.

The total cash expenditures of the general fund of the state budget of Ukraine from January to November 2024 amounted to 3 trillion UAH, which is 365.7 billion UAH (13.9%) higher than the same period in 2023. This information was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance.

In November, the volume of budget expenditures reached 340.9 billion UAH, surpassing the figures of previous months: 313 billion UAH in October, 249 billion UAH in September, and 286 billion UAH in August.

Since the beginning of the year, the main budget expenditures have been distributed as follows:

  • Wage payments with accruals: 1.2 trillion UAH (in November – 115.3 billion UAH), which is 75.1 billion UAH (6.9%) more than last year. Of this amount, 876.6 billion UAH (in November – 86.6 billion UAH) was allocated for the monetary support of military personnel.
  • Payments for goods and services: 463 billion UAH (in November – 46.1 billion UAH), including 252.6 billion UAH for the support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other military formations, and law enforcement agencies.

  • Social security: 510.6 billion UAH (in November – 44.6 billion UAH), which is 37.2 billion UAH (7.9%) more compared to the same period last year.
  • Subsidies and transfers to enterprises, institutions, and organizations: 330 billion UAH (in November – 63.6 billion UAH).
  • Servicing the state debt: 286.7 billion UAH (in November – 43.2 billion UAH), an increase of 61.8 billion UAH (27.5%) compared to the same period last year.
  • Transfers to local budgets: 163 billion UAH (in November – 16 billion UAH), an increase of 27.4 billion UAH (20.2%) compared to last year.

Thus, the largest expenditures are related to wage payments, support for military needs, and social security.
