Switzerland will provide Ukraine with 45 million Swiss francs (approximately $50 million) to assist in overcoming the winter challenges. This information was reported on the official website of the Federal Council of Switzerland.
The allocated funds will be used for the restoration of energy infrastructure and housing for Ukrainians affected by Russian attacks, as well as to meet urgent humanitarian needs.
The Federal Council of Switzerland emphasized that since 2022, the country has already allocated 84.5 million francs ($94.7 million) for winter support to Ukraine. In total, over 477 million francs ($531 million) has been directed towards assisting the Ukrainian population affected by the war since the onset of the full-scale invasion.
