Donald Trump stated that he will impose strict taxes, sanctions, and tariffs on Russian exports to the United States if Russian President Vladimir Putin does not agree to a peace deal with Ukraine. He announced this on his social media platform, Truth Social.

Trump emphasized that he wants to "do Russia, whose economy is in crisis, a great service."

"Make a deal and end this senseless war! It will only get worse from here. If we do not reach an agreement soon, I will have no choice but to impose high taxes, tariffs, and sanctions on all Russian exports to the U.S. and other countries," he wrote.

In his view, the time has come for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

At the same time, Trump noted that he "does not wish to harm Russia," expressed sympathy for the Russian people, and emphasized that he has always supported good relations with Vladimir Putin.
