Ukraine and the U.S. are establishing a Recovery Investment Fund, with the Cabinet approving the agreement.

The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to sign an agreement with the USA to establish an Investment Fund for the Reconstruction of Ukraine. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on Telegram.

“The government is making the necessary decisions to sign an agreement between Ukraine and the United States for the establishment of an Investment Fund for Reconstruction,” he wrote.

The key provisions of the agreement are as follows:

1. Joint management — The Fund will be co-owned by Ukraine and the USA, governed by the governments of both countries.
2. Resource preservation — Ukrainian natural resources will remain the property of Ukraine and will not be transferred to other parties.
3. Funding from Ukraine — 50% of future revenues from the country's natural resource assets will be directed to the Fund.
4. Contributions from the USA — The United States will provide funds, financial instruments, and other assets necessary for reconstruction.
5. Targeted use — All collected funds will be invested exclusively in projects for the reconstruction of Ukraine.
6. Compliance with Eurointegration — The agreement takes into account Ukraine's commitments within the framework of the Eurointegration process.
