Ukraine has refined its partnership agreement with the United States regarding rare earth metals. The draft memorandum has been submitted to the American side. This was announced by the Ukrainian delegation in Munich.
During a phone call, Presidents Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump agreed that Ukraine would finalize the draft memorandum of partnership and present it to the American side.
"Ukraine has submitted the document, and the American side requested time until 5:00 PM to review it," the Ukrainian delegation noted.
It’s worth mentioning that this week, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessen visited Ukraine. He brought with him a partnership agreement that includes economic cooperation between the two countries.
The agreement was to be refined before final approval. President Volodymyr Zelensky highlighted that a consensus on the agreement could be reached at the Munich Security Conference.
Furthermore, President Donald Trump expressed interest in obtaining rare earth metals from Ukraine in exchange for continued support in the war against Russia. The strategic importance of these resources was also mentioned in one of the points of President Volodymyr Zelensky's "victory plan."
