In January 2025, wholesale prices for industrial products increased by 32.5% compared to the same period last year. Prices for goods sold within Ukraine rose by 34.8%, while prices for products exported abroad increased by 16.8%. This information is based on data from the State Statistics Service.
According to the statistical agency, in the sector of food production, beverages, and tobacco products, prices surged by 20.6%. Specifically, the increase in the domestic market was 17.5%, while for exports, it was 33.0%.
Among the products that saw the most significant price hikes, dairy products stand out with a rise of 22.3%, including a 22.3% increase within the country. Prices for bread and bakery products increased by 14.9%, with a 15.4% rise in Ukraine. In the meat production sector, prices grew by 11.5%, including a 12.0% increase domestically. Beverages became 8.0% more expensive, with an 8.2% rise in the internal market.
Sugar decreased in price by 1.6%, including a 0.3% drop in the domestic market.
It is important to note that changes in wholesale prices for producers have a delayed effect on retail prices.
