From early September to mid-January, under the "National Cashback" program, Ukrainians have received 1 billion hryvnias in refunds for purchasing domestically produced goods. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy.
Of this amount, nearly 400 million hryvnias, accrued from September to November, have already been transferred to citizens' cards for payments. The remainder, accumulated in December and January, will be disbursed at the end of February 2025.
“In December, Ukrainians earned 436 million hryvnias in cashback — three times more than in the previous three months combined. In January, the amount has already exceeded 170 million. The program will remain in effect until the end of 2025,” noted the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko.
Main indicators of the program as of January 16, 2025:
To receive cashback, it is necessary to activate the "National Cashback" card in the "Diia" application. The refund is 10% of the purchase amount for Ukrainian goods included in a special list and bought at participating stores. Such products are marked with special price tags, and their eligibility can be verified using a barcode scanner in "Diia".
The funds can be used to pay for utilities, medical expenses, education, transportation, mobile services, and insurance. It is also possible to purchase books, medicines, and medical devices produced in Ukraine at registered retail outlets. Additionally, cashback can be directed towards charity or support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
