In Ukraine, there will be no power outages for residential consumers tomorrow, December 18. However, restrictions will be in place for industry and businesses. This was reported by "Ukrenergo" and DTEK.
"Tomorrow, December 18, no consumption restrictions are expected for residential consumers," the company stated.
They clarified that for industry and business, power limitation schedules will be in effect from 07:00 to 20:00.
Ukrenergo also urged consumers to save electricity from 08:00 to 20:00.
DTEK explained that there are three reasons why power outage schedules have been canceled in Ukraine.
Note. Consumers in each region, who are not part of the critical infrastructure list, are divided into 6 queues (groups). Applying restrictions to three queues means that hourly outage schedules affect half of the consumers in each region. Four queues mean limitations for up to 70% of consumers in each area.
When regional energy companies apply one queue of outage schedules, it results in 4 hours of restrictions per day; two queues mean 8 hours of restrictions, three queues mean 12 hours of restrictions, and four queues mean more than 12 hours of restrictions.
How this load is distributed over the day and the duration of the queue is the responsibility of the regional energy companies.
