As of November 30, 2024, the number of Ukrainians granted temporary protection status in EU countries has increased by 36,010, totaling 4.23 million individuals. This information is available on the Eurostat website.
The largest increase in beneficiaries is observed in Germany (+11,915), the Czech Republic (+5,820), and Poland (+4,045). At the same time, the number of Ukrainians under temporary protection has decreased in Italy (-1,270), France (-695), and Luxembourg (-15).
Among the EU countries that have accepted the highest number of individuals with temporary protection from Ukraine, Germany leads with 1,152,620 individuals (27.2% of the total in the EU), followed by Poland with 987,925 individuals (23.3%), and the Czech Republic with 385,190 individuals (9.1%).
When considering the population of each EU country, the highest ratio of temporary protection beneficiaries per thousand people is seen in the Czech Republic (35.3), Poland (27), and Latvia and Estonia (both 25.5), while the average across the EU is 9.4 per thousand people.
As of November 30, 2024, Ukrainian citizens accounted for over 98.3% of all beneficiaries of temporary protection in the EU. Adult women made up 44.9% of the total, children accounted for 32%, and adult men represented 23.1%.
