The government has included MRI systems in the list of medical devices funded by the state budget.

The Cabinet of Ministers has included magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machines in the list of medical devices to be purchased with state budget funds. This was announced by the government’s permanent representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, as reported by UNN.

According to Melnychuk, changes have been made to the list of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and their ancillary products funded by the state budget for the implementation of programs and centralized health protection activities.

He also noted that the section "Medications for treating patients with multiple sclerosis" has been supplemented with a new nomenclature item.

Reminder

The NHSU explained the procedure for obtaining free MRI scans of the brain for military and civilians. The examination is available upon referral from a doctor in facilities with the appropriate contract.
