This practically rare British light reconnaissance tank was likely acquired by volunteers or purchased through private entities, analysts note. According to them, there has been no official announcement regarding the transfer of the FV101 Scorpion BRM from Britain to Ukrainian forces.

According to In Factum analysts, the custom version of the FV101 Scorpion is equipped with a 76-mm gun, but the model in the photograph is fitted with a 14.5 mm large-caliber Vladimirov tank machine gun, likely because the gun was absent at the time of purchase or there was no suitable ammunition available for it.

It is worth mentioning that commentators from Spanish Defensa noted that the small yet robust "scorpions" are among the best light tanks in the world. Their speed and maneuverability make them ideal for reconnaissance missions. The Spanish Marine Corps also utilized them for landings on ships and in amphibious operations. However, in 2007, Spain retired them from service due to high modernization costs.

Additionally, on December 27, military technology researcher and PhD in History Andriy Kharuk discussed the Ukrainian armored vehicle "Dozor-B" — an armored car that has undergone a 10-year evolution.
