The Russian army has managed to advance near three settlements in the Donetsk region — around Vozdvizhenska, Kotlino, and Andreevka. At the same time, in Kotlino and generally on the Pokrovsky direction, the Russians are continuously conducting assault operations. This information was revealed in the daily report by analysts from the DeepState project on their Telegram channel, published in the early hours of February 2.
Prior to this, project specialists reported that the enemy has had partial successes in the Pokrovsky direction, with the situation being clarified in several areas.
"In recent days, the enemy has been actively attacking Seredynivka, south of Nadiivka, from the south and east towards Udaychne, from the west and east around Kotlino, and from the southwest towards Zverovo," the DeepState report states.
However, despite the partial successes in advancing, project analysts claim that the enemy has slowed down the pace of their offensive into Ukrainian territory across various directions.
"The enemy continues to conduct active offensive operations in many areas, but almost everywhere, the pace of advancement has managed to be slowed down," the analysts write.
The progression of the Russian army into Ukrainian territory can also be seen through the infographics provided by DeepState, published on February 1. It demonstrates that in January 2025, the enemy occupied 325 square kilometers of Ukrainian land.
Additionally, earlier analysts from DeepState reported that the Russian army has occupied Novomlynsk, located in the Kupiansk district of the Kharkiv region. The enemy is continuously increasing the number of infantry in the settlement, deploying weaponry, and fortifying the area, making it "increasingly difficult to eliminate this foothold."
