The loss-making state-owned company "Ukrposhta" pays its CEO over 1.5 million hryvnias every month. This was reported on January 7 by a member of parliament, the chair of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Taxation and Customs Policy, Nina Yuzhanina.
According to the financial plan of "Ukrposhta", the monthly expenses for the CEO's salary were:
"All of this, even during a full-scale war — his monthly salary exceeds the monetary support of more than 15 servicemen who are on combat missions at the front 30 days a month," the parliamentarian emphasized.
She submitted a parliamentary inquiry regarding the number of individuals in "Ukrposhta" who receive salaries over 100,000 hryvnias. The CEO refused to provide this information.
"Is this what common sense and sincerity look like?! (as stated by this leader about himself). And now you understand why the authorities do not want to consider draft law No. 12316, which proposes to limit the upper salary cap for officials and managers of state enterprises during martial law," Yuzhanina noted.
The publication "Glavkom" reported that according to Cabinet Resolution No. 668 of 2017, members of the Supervisory Board, except for representatives of the state who are civil servants, receive a remuneration of 165,090 hryvnias. The chairman of the Supervisory Board receives an additional 20% bonus.
Additionally, "Ukrposhta" covers expenses related to the duties of its members. For December 2021, these expenses amounted to 101,000 hryvnias.
As known from the company's website, the Supervisory Board includes: the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Timur Tkachenko, Rinat Abdrasilov, Gary John Carroll, Elena Malinska, Igor Mityukov, and Sergey Derkach.
