The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced that details regarding the development of new formats for supplying combat brigades and units with weapons will be presented to Ukrainians as early as next week. According to him, these approaches will involve increasing the pace of weapon deliveries and boosting the number of orders for combat assets, particularly drones. This was conveyed by the head of state during his traditional evening address on January 31.
Zelensky shared that he recently met with military officials. During this meeting, he received a report on the situation at the front, as well as on the staffing of combat brigades and units.
Following the discussion, the president tasked that new formats for equipping the military be presented to Ukrainians by next week.
In his video message, Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the issue of supplying armed forces with weaponry. He pointed out that it is crucial to "increase the pace of deliveries" and that "more of this type of weaponry is needed to save more lives of our warriors."
"More orders for drones, increased investment in the development of robotic systems. And more supplies of basic weaponry," Zelensky noted.
At the same time, recalling the January 31 attack by Russians on Odesa, the president highlighted that "air defense is the top priority" in ensuring Ukraine's defense.
The president also assured that he has already given the necessary directives. Therefore, details regarding the new approach to equipping the Ukrainian army can be expected next week.
"Our industry has potential," the president stated.
During his video address, he assured that European countries are ready to collaborate with Ukraine for investments in our arms production: this is being handled by diplomats.
The president also discussed the potential threats posed by demobilization to Ukraine. According to Zelensky, Putin could kill all Ukrainians if half of the army departs.
