Most of the staff is opposed: The Kyiv City State Administration is examining the grounds for dismissing director Belous.

The Department of Culture of the Kyiv City State Administration is investigating whether there are legal grounds to suspend the Young Theater's leadership from the Kyiv National University named after Karpenko-Kary Andrei Belous. This was reported by hromadske in response to a media inquiry from the relevant agency.

Currently, the department has received two different requests from the Young Theater's team regarding Belous. In the first, 46 employees called for the director's dismissal or suspension. In another letter, signed by 94 employees, they insist on keeping Belous in his position.

As noted by the department, both requests are under review, as an employee can be suspended based on the regulations outlined in Article 46 of the Labor Code of Ukraine. Additionally, the KCSA has already initiated a meeting with the team.

Meanwhile, the police are conducting an investigation into the possible unlawful actions of the university lecturer. It is noted that information about potential relationships within the team came to the law enforcement agencies through social media, and no statements from individuals claiming to be victims of the lecturer's actions have been received by the police.

Following accusations of sexual harassment, the lecturer of KNU named after Karpenko-Kary and artistic director of the Young Theater Andrei Belous was suspended from work. The university is conducting an internal investigation and is also implementing new safety rules for students.

Recall that during a collective meeting held at the Young Theater, a large number of actors confirmed harassment and unethical behavior of the chief director.
