Budanov was unharmed by the attack in Odesa: The National Security and Defense Council has debunked the Russian misinformation.

Russians reported that during a missile attack at the Bristol Hotel in Odessa, representatives of Ukrainian intelligence services, including Kirill Budanov himself, were present.
Буданов не пострадал в Одессе: СНБО опроверг информацию о его травме, распространившуюся в российских источниках.

During the Russian missile attack on Odessa on the evening of January 31, the "Bristol" hotel sustained damage: Russian media and Telegram channels quickly commented on the strike, reporting that the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, was present at the establishment. However, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalенко, refuted this information on his Telegram channel.

It is noteworthy that the Russians claimed that other representatives of intelligence services and military experts from the UK and France might have been present during the attack.

"Military specialists from the UK and France were at the 'Bristol' hotel, who arrived in Ukraine to coordinate diversionary operations, including preparations for attacks on facilities in Crimea and organizing provocations in the southern direction," the Russian Telegram channel stated.

Regarding the presence of military specialists from Britain and France, there is currently no information to confirm or deny these claims. However, Kovalенко assured that everything is fine with the head of the GUR.

"Everything is fine with the head of the GUR MO, Kyrylo Budanov," he wrote.

Kovalенко also urged Ukrainians not to spread Russian fakes.

Additionally, the mayor of Odessa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, reported on his Telegram channel about the consequences of the attack. According to him, there are currently two known injured individuals who were transported to local hospitals.

"There is significant damage and destruction in the UNESCO protection zone; a building that is under enhanced protection has been damaged," Trukhanov wrote.

Currently, relevant services are working at the attack site, and temporarily, several city trolleybuses have altered their routes due to the attack.
