According to local media reports, Vladislav Semyenchuk was traveling in a car with his futsal teammates. The driver attempted to overtake another vehicle, veered off the road, and crashed into a tree.

Former player of the football club "Veres," 28-year-old Vladislav Semenchuk, passed away in the intensive care unit following a severe car accident. This was reported on December 30 by the club's press service.

"Sad news for the entire 'Veres' family. Unfortunately, former player of our club Vladislav Semenchuk has died, who was in intensive care after a serious traffic accident. We express our heartfelt condolences to Vladislav's relatives and friends," the football team stated in their announcement.

As previously reported by the police, the accident occurred on December 26 between the villages of Dyuksin and Derazhne in the Rivne region. According to investigators, a 22-year-old BMW driver attempted to overtake a Ford Fusion hatchback, veered off the road, and crashed into a tree.

As a result of the accident, the driver of the car and two of his passengers were injured: a 20-year-old resident of the village of Derazhne and a 28-year-old resident of Orzhiv.

According to local journalists, besides Vladislav Semenchuk, there were his teammates from the Rivne futsal team in the BMW.

Vladislav Semenchuk represented "Veres" during the 2018–2019 season of the Ukrainian Premier League. He played only one match for the team – in the first round of the Ukrainian Cup against "Minai," where the Rivne club lost in the penalty shootout. Vladislav ended his football career in 2022 and subsequently shifted his focus to futsal.

Recall that on December 15, a major accident occurred in the Lviv region, which claimed the lives of seven people. Among the deceased was 23-year-old resident of the Rivne region, Bohdan Lavrentiev, a former volunteer and serviceman who fought for a year and a half in the Donetsk region.
