Snow will blanket Ukraine for two days as the weather unexpectedly shifts in February. Check the map for details.

The weather in Ukraine is set to surprise with a real winter in just a week. Snowfalls are expected on February 5 and 6. This is supported by data from the Ventusky portal.

On Wednesday, February 5, snow clouds will move across the Carpathians and rise from the south to the center. Snow will also fall in the northeastern regions. The snow cover is expected to remain on the ground due to slight frosts: temperatures will drop to -8 in the west and -4 in the north and east, while in the south it will stay around -2.

Next Thursday, the weather in Ukraine will also be frosty: around -4 at night and -1 during the day. The coldest temperatures will be in the mountainous western regions, where it could drop to -12. In the northern part of the country, meteorologists predict temperatures of up to -3 degrees, in the south - around -2, and in the east and center - up to -3.

Blizzards are still possible in the Carpathian mountains and also in the east. In the rest of the territory, there will be less snowfall or no precipitation at all.

Weather in Ukraine in the coming days

According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, light snow may be possible as early as this coming Sunday, although daytime temperatures will still range from +1 to +4. The meteorologist from the "Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center," Natalia Ptukha, warned about the return of frosts. In a comment to "Glavred," she explained that at the beginning of next month, atmospheric fronts will influence the weather in Ukraine, bringing precipitation and some snow to the western, northern, and central regions.

Recall that on January 27, forecasters predicted anomalous warmth at the end of winter and a small amount of precipitation.
