President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Ruslan Kravchenko as the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration on April 10, 2023.

In 2023, he participated in the competition for the position of head of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).

From 2021 to 2023, he served as the head of the Bucha District Prosecutor's Office in the Kyiv region.

He previously worked in the prosecutor's office as well. In particular, from 2020 to 2021, he held the position of head of the department for criminal proceedings related to crimes in the defense industry at the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the military and defense sector of the Office of the Attorney General. From 2019 to 2020, he was the deputy military prosecutor of the Central region of Ukraine.

In 2007, he graduated from the Kyiv Military Lyceum named after Ivan Bohun. In 2012, he graduated from the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University with a degree in "law", earning the title of "lieutenant of justice".
