The state budget of Ukraine has received 3 billion euros from the European Union as part of the G7 initiative ERA. In total, the EU will provide Ukraine with 18 billion euros. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on his Telegram channel.
"This is the first tranche of funds from the European Union, secured by revenues from frozen Russian assets," Shmyhal wrote.
According to him, these funds will be directed towards Ukraine's priority budget expenditures.
Shmyhal also noted that under the G7 ERA initiative, Ukraine will receive 50 billion dollars, of which 20 billion will be provided by the European Union.
"Thus, we are implementing the principle 'Russia will pay' and strengthening Ukraine's financial stability in 2025," he added.
