The Head of the Kherson City Military Administration, Roman Mrochko, came under fire during a video address. The official reported this on his Facebook page, posting a video that captures the sounds of incoming Russian shells.
Roman Mrochko was recording a pre-New Year address for the residents of Kherson when he was caught in enemy shelling. The video clearly captures the sounds of Russian shell impacts audible from the location where the video was being recorded.
"War has no holidays or weekends. We were recording a pre-New Year video amidst Russian shelling!" — Roman Mrochko wrote on Facebook, commenting on the incident. He also expressed gratitude to his team for their resilience during the bombardment.
Mrochko added that the shelling occurred just 20 meters away from the filming crew. However, it has been reported that, despite the proximity and scale of the enemy fire, no one from Roman Mrochko's team was injured.
Additionally, we reported that before the New Year, Ukraine was attacked with over 60 targets. On the last night of 2024, Russia launched more than 20 missiles and 40 drones at Ukrainian cities. Half of the missiles fired by the enemy at the community throughout the year were aimed at Shostka.
We remind you that on December 21, the partisan movement "Atesh" reported that Russian military commanders are refusing to storm the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson region.
Earlier, on December 20, a soldier from the Armed Forces of Ukraine on his Telegram channel "Mykolaiv Vanyek" mentioned that Russian troops are trying to seize the area around the Antonivskyi Bridge in the Kherson region. The city of Kherson and its surrounding settlements, as well as the village of Chernobayivka, were under artillery fire.
