As of the end of last year, Ukraine's state and state-guaranteed debt increased by 1.46 trillion UAH in hryvnia equivalent, reaching a total of 6.98 trillion UAH or $166.06 billion by December 31. This information was reported by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
In dollar terms, the state and state-guaranteed debt rose by $20.74 billion over the entire year.
The ministry clarified that the state debt amounted to 6.69 trillion UAH ($159.20 billion), which represents 95.87% of the total sum of 86 trillion UAH ($44.32 billion). The state-guaranteed debt stood at 288.51 billion UAH ($6.86 billion).
The Ministry of Finance emphasized that despite the increase in state debt, debt obligations remain under control, and their volume is determined in accordance with the National Bank's exchange rate.
