How to avoid losing your subsidy: which changes you need to report to the Pension Fund.

Among the circumstances that should be reported to the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) are making a one-time purchase exceeding 50,000 UAH and the absence of one household member outside of Ukraine for more than 60 days.
Как сохранить субсидию: какие изменения необходимо сообщить в Пенсионный фонд.

Recipients of housing subsidies are required to inform the Pension Fund of Ukraine about any circumstances that affect their eligibility for the subsidy. This must be done within 30 days of such changes occurring. This was reminded by the PFU, referencing paragraph 90 of the regulation on the appointment of housing subsidies, approved by Cabinet Resolution No. 848 dated October 21, 1995.

Cancellation of subsidies — circumstances to report to the PFU

Among the reasons that must be reported are:

  • Changes in the composition of registered household members, their social status, and changes in the family structure of household members.
  • Changes in the list of housing and communal services received or the conditions for their provision.
  • Change of the manager, service provider for communal services, or the establishment of a homeowners' association in a multi-apartment building.
  • Presence abroad of a household member or their relative for a total of more than 60 days.
  • Making a one-time purchase or acquiring ownership of property worth more than 50,000 UAH.
  • Acquisition of ownership of a vehicle (excluding mopeds or trailers).
  • Conducting transactions for the purchase of foreign currency or banking metals for amounts exceeding 50,000 UAH (all transactions within 12 months are considered).
  • Receiving one-time income exceeding 25 living wages for able-bodied individuals (excluding targeted charitable assistance, insurance payments, inheritance in the form of real estate, grants, or scholarships).
  • Opening a deposit account or purchasing domestic government bonds for amounts greater than 100,000 UAH.
  • Emergence of circumstances leading to the loss of the right to a subsidy for excess living space (for example, changes in household composition or sources of income).

Changes can be reported through the PFU electronic portal or in person.

In Dnipropetrovsk, Volyn, Zhytomyr, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Chernihiv, Kyiv regions, and Kyiv, subsidy recipients must inform about a family member's stay abroad for more than 60 days within a month after the end of martial law.

We remind you that in Ukraine, the sizes of subsidies have been automatically recalculated for the heating season. Applications for receiving subsidies can be submitted online, by mail, or in person at service centers.

In Ukraine, it is possible to obtain a subsidy with outstanding debts for housing and communal services, provided the debt does not exceed 680 UAH.
