"Something arrived": Ukrainian forces struck a concentration of Russian troops in the Kursk region (video).

In footage captured by surveillance cameras in the city of Lgov, Kursk region, around five bright flashes can be seen at the point of impact. The local governor reassured that nothing out of the ordinary occurred.

On the evening of December 30, an air raid alert was declared in the Kursk region due to the threat of strikes from Ukrainian drones and missiles. Following this, reports emerged online about the operation of air defense systems over Kursk. Additionally, videos surfaced from the town of Lgov, where a series of significant strikes may have occurred. Governor Alexander Khinshtein assured that nothing extraordinary happened. Meanwhile, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) under the National Security and Defense Council, Alexander Kovalenko, confirmed a strike on a facility within Russian territory via his Telegram channel.

According to Kovalenko, a strike targeted a "concentration of Russian military" in the town of Lgov. The official did not specify what exactly the Defense Forces used to strike. He also did not clarify the nature of the target or the scale of losses for the Russian Armed Forces.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not comment on the events in the town of Lgov in the Kursk region. The Russian Ministry of Defense also remained silent regarding the incident.

Strike on Russia — details of events in Lgov on December 30

Governor Alexander Khinshtein wrote about the situation in the Kursk region. The Russian official stated at 19:19 that indeed, there was a strike in Lgov on the evening of December 30. He assured that there is currently no information about casualties or the extent of damage. According to him, all necessary services were dispatched to the scene of the strikes.

Meanwhile, local reports in a community group mentioned the first explosions in the Kursk region at 18:24, referring to explosions in Lgov. Furthermore, videos were published showing a loud explosion over Kursk (around 19:00 Moscow time, as evidenced by the footage). In the "Kursk Region" group, a post appeared claiming that four missiles were allegedly shot down over the regional center, following a warning about the threat of drone and missile attacks. In the videos from Lgov found online, about five strikes can be counted.

At the same time, the "Exilenova+" channel claims to have established an estimated point of impact. In a post published at 19:14, it indicated that explosions occurred near the "Lgov-2" railway station. This area is located 60 km from Ukraine and 30 km from the frontline in the Kursk region. However, precise data on the impact point is still unavailable.

It is worth noting that on December 20, loud explosions occurred in the town of Rylsk in the Kursk region. Footage from the strike site shows a completely destroyed building: the Russian channel Mush assured that a strike with MGM-140B ATACMS Block 1A missiles occurred, each carrying 17 cluster submunitions.
