The number of individuals affected by the Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia on January 8 has risen to 122. This information is reported by the State Emergency Service of Zaporizhzhia via Telegram.
According to rescuers, the number of injured individuals has once again increased — currently, 122 people are known to have been injured, including one child.
The local State Emergency Service reports that as a result of the strike by the Russian Armed Forces, likely using aerial bombs (FAB), 13 civilians have died and 122 people have sustained injuries. Emergency and rescue operations have now been completed at the site of the shelling.
Rescuers also stated that they successfully extinguished fires in three passenger vehicles and an office building covering an area of 800 square meters.
"In total, three administrative buildings, a residential multi-story building, and 36 vehicles, including one municipal vehicle, have been damaged," the rescuers reported.
Earlier, it was reported that 110 people were injured due to the Russian strike on Zaporizhzhia. Photos from the site of the FAB impact in Zaporizhzhia show a public transport stop that was damaged as a result of the explosion.
Subsequently, it was announced that a day of mourning will be declared in the city on January 9. The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, noted that due to enemy attacks, a Day of Mourning will be declared for the third time this month in the Zaporizhzhia region.
