The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has dismantled a scheme through which a company from Zhytomyr supplied gas boilers for the needs of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
This information was reported by the agency's press service.
"It has been established that since May 2022, a Ukrainian manufacturer secretly sold products to Russian enterprises that cooperate with the government structures of the Russian Federation.
Among the main clients of the Ukrainian company was a firm in Kursk, which supplied heating systems to military sanatoriums in the aggressor country," the statement said.
As noted in the report, the Zhytomyr company initially sent its products to affiliated companies in the EU and Central Asia. After that, the products were repackaged under the details of foreign companies and re-exported to a controlled enterprise in Belarus, and from there to Russia.
Since May 2022, the company has managed to supply products worth 65 million hryvnias to the Russian Federation.
"SBU investigators have informed the head of the sales department of the Zhytomyr company about the suspicion of aiding the aggressor state.
The perpetrator is in custody without the right to bail. He faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property," the SBU added.
