In Poltava, on the morning of January 2, a conflict occurred on Hozhulivska Street between a 33-year-old local resident and a 42-year-old military officer from the TCK during a document check. This was reported by Vasily Zub, the press secretary of the Poltava district police, to Suspilne.

Local media, citing eyewitnesses, noted that the man was hospitalized during the altercation, with TCK personnel possibly breaking his leg. Video footage from social media shows police officers present, but it remains unclear what led to the conflict and how the man ended up on the ground.

Vasily Zub stated that after the incident, both participants reported their injuries to the police. Law enforcement officials denied the claims that the TCK officer could have broken the leg of the Poltava resident.

In connection with this incident, investigators have initiated two criminal proceedings under part 1 of Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — intentional minor bodily harm. The penalties outlined in this article range from five to eight years of imprisonment.

Recall that the Poltava guitarist of the rock band Burned Time Machine, Miroslav Shcherbak, became embroiled in a scandal due to social media posts calling for the killing of TCK personnel and police officers. The musician claimed that "every Ukrainian is obliged to kill a military recruiter."
