The "Quarter 95" studio clarified the situation regarding the joke about the slain linguist Irina Farion. They stated that one of the television channels aired a rerun from last year. This information was mentioned in a post by "Quarter 95" on Instagram.
"On December 29, one of our archival episodes from last year was broadcast. Unfortunately, it contained a joke that should not have aired. We do not have any influence over which episodes are selected for reruns, as that process is solely controlled by the television channel. Leaving jokes about a person who has tragically passed away is absolutely unacceptable under any circumstances, even if it concerns an old episode," the statement reads.
In "Quarter 95," they apologized to Irina Farion's family and everyone who may have been hurt or offended by this.
It is worth noting that "Studio Quarter 95" posted an old video on its YouTube channel that included a joke about the murdered linguist Irina Farion.
Additionally, earlier Sofia Semchishin criticized the champion boxer Oleksandr Usyk for dedicating his victory to the mothers of Ukraine, after previously labeling Farion as a "Kremlin agent."
