A man will stand trial in Dnipropetrovsk region for stealing money from his dormitory neighbor's card. This was reported by "Vidomo," referencing the Main Department of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region.
Police established that a 63-year-old woman asked her dorm neighbor for assistance in setting up a mobile application. After gaining full access to her bank account, the perpetrator transferred nearly 30,000 hryvnias to his girlfriend's card to conceal the crime. He also promptly deleted any banking notifications that were sent to the victim's phone.
On November 21, in coordination with the Slobozhansk District Prosecutor's Office, the 39-year-old man was informed of his suspicion under part 4 of article 185 (theft) and part 1 of article 361 (unauthorized interference in the operation of information (automated) systems) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
On November 22, investigators submitted the materials for judicial review.
