On October 9, it was announced that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to suspend the criteria used to identify critically important enterprises until November 15. This concerns companies that have the right to reserve their employees. On October 14, the head of the Volyn Regional State Administration, Yuriy Pohuliayko, stated that there have been cases of abuse in the region, prompting an audit.
Pohuliayko reported that he discussed the fulfillment of mobilization tasks and abuses related to reservations during a meeting with law enforcement and representatives of the Territorial Recruitment Centers.
"Such cases exist, so we decided to conduct an audit of 'critical' enterprises to identify any abuses in reserving their employees," — he informed.
The head of the Regional State Administration emphasized that the war unleashed by the Russian Federation continues.
"The mobilization tasks set by the General Staff of Ukraine must be fulfilled, and any abuses regarding reservations and deferments are unacceptable," — he added.
By November 15, Ukraine is to conduct an audit of existing decisions regarding critically important companies. Currently, companies that have not been found to have engaged in abuses retain their status, and the employees they have reserved are granted deferments from mobilization.
It is worth noting that media reports, citing sources within the government, indicated that the audits related to reservations are connected to President Volodymyr Zelensky's outrage and the decrease in mobilization figures alongside the increase in the number of reserved Ukrainians.
According to media sources, Ukraine has not abandoned the idea of "economic reservation", but has postponed its implementation due to the focus on mobilization.
