"‘I won't forgive anyone’: Shufrich, suspected of treason, announces the death of his father."

Politician and former member of the banned party "Opposition Platform – For Life" Nestor Shufrich announced the death of his father. This was revealed in a post on his Facebook page dated January 2.

The MP reported that his family has faced a terrible tragedy. He shared that his father, Ivan Shufrich, has passed away. According to the politician, he was supposed to have a video conference with his father on January 1 at 14:00, but it did not take place.

"I will never forgive anyone. Rest in peace, my dear. Now you are with Mary and Sasha watching over us. I’m sorry that on this day, in these years, I wasn’t there for you. Forgive me for your suffering because of me. I will definitely hug you and see you off. You, Mom, and Sasha are always with me, everywhere! I love you so much," wrote Shufrich.

According to data from the "Chesno" movement, Ivan Shufrich ran for the Transcarpathian Regional Council in 1998 for the 3rd convocation. He also owned the territory of the "Dubki" nature reserve and was involved in a case concerning violations related to the transfer of natural resources.

It is worth noting that MP Nestor Shufrich is suspected of treason. According to the investigation, he supported pro-Russian ideas, collaborated with former NSDC Secretary Volodymyr Sivkovych in conducting subversive activities against Ukraine, and financed the hostile Rosgvardia.

On December 24, parliamentarian Oleksiy Honcharenko reported that Shufrich, who was detained on September 15, 2023, received a court ruling to ensure conditions for fulfilling his parliamentary duties from pre-trial detention.
