A 44-year-old man in Dnipro faces trial for robbing and attempting to kill his own mother.

Police in Dnipro have submitted an indictment to the court against a man who attempted to murder his own mother. This was reported by "Vідомо" referencing the Main Department of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

Authorities discovered that all the crimes were committed over a span of two months. The man lived with his mother and, taking advantage of her absence, he would take her mobile phone and transfer money to his account via a banking app. In total, he stole nearly 30 thousand hryvnias from her.

He did not stop there: at the end of September, he threatened the woman with a knife and attempted to seize her mobile phone. When she refused, he inflicted several knife wounds on her.

In coordination with the Left Bank District Prosecutor's Office of the city, investigators informed the man of his suspicion under part 4 of Article 185 (theft), part 4 of Article 187 (robbery), part 3 of Article 15, and part 1 of Article 115 (attempted murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

On November 21, based on the gathered evidence, the indictment against the suspect was sent to the court.
