During the mobilization of 2025, summonses may be delivered not only personally but also sent by mail. What should you do if the notification arrives at an outdated address? This was explained by specialists on the "Lawyers UA" portal.
A man sought advice, explaining that he is registered for military service in one city but actually resides in another. A summons was sent to the address where he is officially registered. Subsequently, a red stripe appeared in the "Reserve+" application.
"Can I go to the TCK at my actual place of residence? So I don't have to travel to the city for registration," — the Ukrainian inquired.
Lawyer Yuriy Aivazyan clarified that the conscript must go to the TCK based on the last summons received. At the same time, he advised changing the military registration office to avoid potential issues in the future.
Lawyer Yevgeny Alexandrovich pointed out that the man needs to not only respond to the summons but also provide a valid reason for his delayed appearance. He explained that the red stripe in "Reserve+" indicates that the person has been declared wanted.
The lawyer also warned that if the conscript is deemed fit for service, the summons will imply possible mobilization. He noted that this is the case if the Ukrainian has no grounds for deferral.
We remind you that Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Head of the President's Office, stated how much longer Ukrainians who were previously recognized as partially fit will have to undergo re-examination.
President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on January 29 that instructors from military lyceums and educational institutions "must be on the front lines". According to him, this is the only way to learn "war on the ground."
