A pensioner was robbed in broad daylight: police in Dnipro have identified suspects in the case (VIDEO).

A robbery took place in Dnipro, with a 62-year-old woman becoming the victim. The crime occurred right in the middle of the street on Donetsk Highway. This was reported by "Vydomo" citing the police of Dnipropetrovsk region.

The victim, who was on her way home, fell prey to two assailants. According to her testimony, she had stepped away from the public transport stop when she felt two men approaching her from behind. They attempted to forcefully take her bag, which contained valuable items.

As a result of the struggle, the victim fell to the ground, and the criminals seized her bag and fled the scene.

Despite the shock, the woman quickly thought to call the police.

Thanks to the prompt actions of law enforcement, the assailants were apprehended in a short period. They turned out to be two young men, aged 20 and 21, residents of Dnipro.

During the search, the stolen items belonging to the 62-year-old woman were found and seized from the detainees, which served as irrefutable evidence of their guilt. Currently, the detainees are in custody. They have been charged with robbery, which carries severe penalties.
