A Ukrainian man who attacked recruitment center employees with a knife has been charged. The details of the case were shared by the press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office on November 28.
The incident took place on Sholom-Aleikhem Street in Kyiv. According to the authorities, the man saw individuals in military uniforms, approached them, and began to argue. At that time, employees of the Desnyansky District Recruitment Center were conducting notification activities.
Investigators found that the servicemen attempted to avoid a confrontation with the aggressive stranger, at which point he pulled out a knife and began to chase them. He threatened the recruitment center employees with murder.
0The military personnel dropped their documents. The Kyiv resident picked them up and "tore them apart."
The 52-year-old city resident has been charged with obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces during a special period and making threats of murder. He faces imprisonment for a term of 5 to 8 years.
1On April 6, the press service of the Desnyansky District Recruitment Center published a post about the attack on the military that occurred on Sholom-Aleikhem Street.
It was noted that 52-year-old Timofey Molderf attacked a patrol that was speaking with a reservist. The man approached from behind and struck one of the recruitment center employees on the head.
After that, as reported by the recruitment office, the stranger pulled out a knife from his bag, intending to stab another employee. He threatened and assaulted.
The military, keeping the attacker at a safe distance, called the police. The press service emphasized that the punishment would be determined by the court, but this was not the first instance of "inadequate actions" towards recruitment center employees.
2As a reminder, on November 28, social media reported that in Kryvyi Rih, a man with a knife entered the territory of the recruitment center to rescue his son from mobilization.
On November 27, the recruitment center in the Haisyn district of Vinnytsia region reported that a 57-year-old man came to the enlistment office for a summons and stabbed an employee. The 53-year-old sergeant was admitted to intensive care after sustaining an injury to his right collarbone.
