The suspect in the murder of Farion, Dnipro resident Zinchenco, has had his detention extended once again.

At the request of the prosecutors from the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Lviv has extended the preventive measure for the accused in the intentional murder of Iryna Farion. This was reported by "Vidomo" referencing the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

Dnipropetrovsk resident Viacheslav Zinchenko will remain in custody until March 4 without the right to post bail.

The defense for the suspect requested to change the preventive measure to round-the-clock house arrest, but the court did not agree.

As is known, Viacheslav Zinchenko is charged with intentional murder of a person in connection with the performance of his civic duty, motivated by national intolerance, as well as the acquisition, carrying, and storage of firearms without the necessary legal permit (paragraphs 8, 14 of part 2 of Article 115, part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
