Weather forecast for Ukraine is currently disappointing, lacking the snow and frost typically associated with the New Year. However, nature has prepared some surprises for Ukrainians under the Christmas tree. This was reported on December 30 by meteorologist Natalia Didenko.
On December 31, Ukraine will experience surprisingly warm weather. Snow and frost are not expected. Throughout the day, thermometers will register temperatures between +2 and +5 degrees, while in the southern regions, it will be between +5 and +10 degrees.
No precipitation is forecasted, as almost all of continental Europe (including Ukraine) will be under the influence of an anticyclonic area.
The capital will not be an exception. In Kyiv, there will be no snow on Tuesday, and the maximum temperature will reach +3 degrees.
"A characteristic feature of December 31 and the first days of the New Year will be strong winds from the west! Be careful," emphasized Didenko.
During the night of January 1, temperatures will drop slightly, expected to be around zero. However, the first day of 2025 will be warm — ranging from +4 to +9 degrees, and in the south — from +6 to +11 degrees.
"No precipitation is anticipated, and we will even start the New Year with sunshine," noted the meteorologist.
January 2 will be even warmer. However, from January 3-4, colder weather is forecasted for Ukraine.
Recall that representative of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, Natalia Ptuha, shared the weather forecast for January 2025. According to her, starting from January 2, the anticyclone will weaken, and atmospheric fronts bringing precipitation will begin to arrive.
