Польша готова увеличить поставки электроэнергии в Украину по мере необходимости.

The Minister of Climate and Environment of Poland, Paulina Henning-Kloska, stated that Poland is prepared to supply electricity to Ukraine if necessary.

This statement was made in response to the threats from Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, who promised to halt electricity supplies to Ukraine after Ukraine suspended the transit of Russian gas to Europe and Moldova starting January 1st.

According to Henning-Kloska, Poland can increase electricity supplies to Ukraine, but only if such a request comes from the Ukrainian side.

“Our operator is ready; the question is whether Ukraine will want to take advantage of this offer,” she clarified, adding that Fico's actions contradict the interests of Europe.

Fico's Position

It is worth noting that since January 1st, Ukraine has halted the transit of Russian gas to Europe and Moldova. In response, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico announced his intention to stop electricity supplies to Ukraine, emphasizing that he had repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction with Kyiv's decision to stop gas transit.
