Saturday, January 4, and Sunday, January 5, are set to be the coldest days in Ukraine in the near future. This was reported by meteorologist Natalka Didenko.
On the night of January 5, temperatures are expected to drop to -4 to -9 degrees, while during the day on Sunday, the maximum is projected to be from 0 to -2 degrees. In the southern part of the country, temperatures will range from 0 to 3 degrees. She warned that there will be icy conditions on the roads.
Almost the entire weekend in Ukraine will see dry weather, with only light snow expected in Transcarpathia and the Carpathians on Sunday evening.
In Kyiv on January 5, there will be no precipitation and it will be sunny. Night temperatures will be between -4 and -6 degrees, while during the day, it will be 0 to -2 degrees. Starting from January 6-7, a warming trend will begin in Ukraine, first leading to thawing, then up to +4 to +10 degrees, Natalka Didenko reported.
The Hydrometeorological Center forecasts that on Saturday, January 4, light snow is expected, with rain in the east and south.
Air temperatures will range from +6 in the south to -6 in the west.
On Sunday, January 5, light snow will only fall in Transcarpathia. Over the entire territory of the country, cloudy weather with clearings will persist.

On Monday, January 6, no precipitation is expected in the east and south of Ukraine. The Hydrometeorological Center predicts light wet snow mixed with rain in the north, west, and center of the country.

Additionally, the Central Geophysical Observatory reminded that in 2024, 52 temperature records were set in Kyiv. Overall, it became the warmest year in the capital since observations began.
