In Lviv, there are four military medical commissions established based on local medical institutions, operating in multiple shifts due to the limited fitness of individuals for service who must undergo a military medical commission by February 5. However, many of them delayed until the last moment. This information was reported by the city council.
The state allocated 9 months for those classified as limited fit to undergo a re-examination, but most postponed their visits until the very end, creating a rush at the military medical commissions. Therefore, to maximize service provision, both the main and reserve members of the commission have been engaged.
For instance, at the Sykhiv military medical commission in Lviv, only 182 individuals classified as limited fit were examined over the course of 8 months, from May to January, while from January 1 to January 20 of this year, 150 people attended the commission.
Overall, around 700 military personnel are in the electronic queue for re-examination at the military medical commissions across the city. However, as noted by the city council, the influx at the military medical commissions, triggered by the re-certification of limited fit individuals, does not affect the examinations of those wishing to sign a contract with the Armed Forces.
As a reminder, Deputy Head of the Office Iryna Vereshchuk mentioned that over a million individuals have not managed to pass the military medical commission, which is why they plan to extend the deadline by three months. These changes are due to the high workload on the 1036 military medical commissions operating in Ukraine.
