On Saturday afternoon, January 11, near the Taras Shevchenko metro station in Kyiv, individuals in military uniforms and police detained a citizen. This was reported by the Telegram channel "Real Kyiv."

In the released video, a man who was lying on the ground and shouting was being pulled into a parked car by several men.

The Kyiv City Territorial Recruitment Center confirmed the incident that occurred in the capital. The TCC informed that during a document check, it was discovered that the citizen was wanted for violating defense legislation. Consequently, a protocol was drawn up by the national police; however, the man reportedly attempted to flee, which led to his detention.

The TCC noted that the national police officers and military personnel acted within the law, as during martial law, those liable for military service must report to the recruitment centers where they are registered.

Recall that on January 8, a video of the "busing" of a man in Lviv circulated on social media. The footage shows individuals in military uniforms beating a man, grabbing him by the neck, and forcing him into a car. The Lviv Regional TCC reported that the man did not have any documents, refused to go to the territorial center, and struck one of the military personnel in the face.

On January 9, Natalia Kindraty, an officer of the Communications Department of the Ground Forces Command, stated that since 2022, 500 thousand military-eligible men have been put on the wanted list in Ukraine. Due to a lack of resources, law enforcement does not search for military-eligible individuals at their homes but checks documents of men in streets and public places.
