The Verkhovna Rada failed to pass the draft law No. 11431, which proposed fines for the lack of uninterrupted communication during power outages. This was reported by the deputy chairman of the tax committee, Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
Only 199 members of parliament voted in favor of the draft law's foundation. In the repeated voting, the measure also failed to gather the necessary number of votes (a total of 206), thus it is considered rejected.
The draft law included fines for mobile operators for not providing uninterrupted communication during power outages.
