Russian occupation forces launched dozens of strike drones of the "Shahed" type over Ukrainian territory from January 2 to January 3. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In particular, after midnight, enemy drones were spotted over Sumy, Chernihiv, Poltava, Kharkiv, and Donetsk regions.
Additionally, there were reports of "Shaheds" moving towards Kyiv region. At 4:25 AM, the mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, announced that the capital was repelling an attack by enemy drones.
"Air defense forces are engaged against enemy UAVs in the capital. Stay in shelters!" — Klitschko wrote.
